Urology Clinic
We use state-of-the-art medical equipment to ensure safe and effective treatments.
RO-BOOST applies a multidisciplinary approach in the evaluation and treatment of male health conditions, integrating specialists from complementary fields to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
At RO-BOOST, we invest in innovation – treating prostate adenoma with the steam vaporization procedure.
This innovative method, used for the first time in Romania by RO-BOOST doctors – Dr. Bogdan Gușanu (since 2021) and Dr. Emanuel Alexandrescu (since 2022) – is based on the vaporization of prostatic tissue using pressurized steam.
The procedure is endoscopic and minimally invasive, requiring only local anesthesia or mild sedation. During the intervention, steam is injected into the prostate, causing the enlarged tissue to gradually shrink over the following 2–3 months.
• Fast recovery, with hospitalization of no more than 12 hours
ESWT TECHNOLOGY
SUCCESS RATE > 80%
NON-INVASIVE & PAINLESS
The ESWT technique (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy) and the Ejaculation Control Program represent groundbreaking advancements in Romania’s medical infrastructure, offering innovative treatments for conditions such as erectile dysfunction, chronic prostatitis, premature ejaculation, and Peyronie’s disease. RO-BOOST Clinic, dedicated to male sexual health, successfully employs these therapeutic methods to effectively treat these conditions. We understand the sensitive nature of such issues and, in addition to ensuring absolute confidentiality, we provide a comfortable and positive experience for all our patients. Medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and multiple treatment options are available through our dedicated physicians, who offer personalized care to each patient, ensuring their individual needs are fully met.
Our
Mission
Male patients visit our clinic seeking solutions for specific conditions such as erectile dysfunction (ED), low libido, premature ejaculation, urinary discomfort caused by chronic prostatitis, and Peyronie’s disease. In some cases, a personalized medical approach is required. We therefore provide targeted treatments for all the above-mentioned conditions, including state-of-the-art low-intensity shockwave therapy, also known as ESWT (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy). During the initial consultation, the most effective treatment plan and a personalized management program will be recommended.
Regardless of age, ESWT therapy can significantly improve performance, even in the absence of a specific condition.
ERECTILE DISFUNCTION
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a medical condition in which a man is consistently unable to achieve and maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance.
PREMATURE EJACULATION
Premature ejaculation is a condition in which a man ejaculates with minimal stimulation. Men affected by this condition ejaculate before or shortly after penetration.
CHRONIC PROSTATITIS
Prostatitis is a condition specific to men. Although it may seem harmless, it can seriously impact health. That is why early detection is highly recommended.
ESWT Technique
a historical perspective
The history of ESWT begins in the 1970s–1980s, when shock wave therapy was first used in urology for the treatment of kidney stones (extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy). At the time, it was a revolutionary technology: a non-invasive, precise treatment with clear clinical results.
990s–2000s – Expansion of applications Physicians soon observed something remarkable: tissues exposed to shock waves not only tolerated the procedure well, but also showed improved regeneration. This led to the development of ESWT applications in: – orthopedics (tendinitis, plantar fasciitis) – sports medicine – medical rehabilitation
The key discovery
Shock waves stimulate the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) and improve microcirculation. This finding established a logical connection with erectile dysfunction, which in many cases has a vascular cause.
After 2010 – Application in erectile dysfunction
The first clinical studies demonstrated that ESWT may:
improve penile blood flow
stimulate vascular regeneration
support erectile function in the medium and long term
Today – Modern, personalized medicine
Today, shock wave therapy is integrated into modern medical protocols and, in some cases, combined with other treatment modalities, depending on the patient’s individual profile. Research is ongoing, but the direction is clear: less symptom-focused, more regenerative.
At RO-BOOST, extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) is part of a comprehensive medical approach, based on thorough urological evaluation and careful patient selection. The technique is applied in accordance with modern protocols, with a strong emphasis on safety, comfort, and meaningful results — not quick promises. Because male health requires individualized care rather than one-size-fits-all solutions, each therapeutic plan is tailored to the patient’s condition, medical history, and personal objectives.
